Roofing Marketing That Books Replacements, Not Price Checks

Your phone fills with ballpark questions and requests five other roofers also got, while the replacement jobs go to whoever looked safest. Then a windstorm rolls through and the storm chasers are knocking on your customers' doors.

Roofing marketing should bring you homeowners who already trust you before they call. We run your Google listing, your ads, your reviews and a website that shows your finished roofs, your price ranges and your warranties, all in your name. The calls are yours alone, and each month you see which ones turned into signed jobs.

What roofers tell us on the first call

Most of this isn't your fault. It's how the job-request sites, and a lot of agencies, are set up to work.

  • “I chased 39 requests last month and found 3 real people.”

Bought requests go to several roofers at once, and plenty of the people behind them were never going to book. Calls from your own listing, website and ads go to you alone, from people who looked you up.

  • “Everyone just wants a ballpark.”

A lot of online requests come from people playing with a price calculator. Honest price ranges on your pages and a quote form that asks the right questions sort them out before you climb a ladder.

  • “The storm chaser undercut me on my own street.”

After a big wind, out-of-town crews knock on every door with a low price. You beat them by looking like what you are: the local roofer with reviews from the neighbours, real certifications and a warranty that'll still be good next year.

  • “The agency sent me clicks, not roofs.”

Your report should count calls and signed jobs, and what each one cost. Ours does.

  • “Winter is dead.”

The season ends, the crews sit, and spring starts from zero. A winter push to past customers and the streets around your finished roofs means spring starts with a list.

Who we help in roofing

Storm work and a planned re-roof are different sales. Find yours.

  • Residential replacement

    Homeowners · weeks

The big ticket. Homeowners buy a roof once or twice in their lives, so they compare.

  • Repairs and leaks

    Homeowners · same week

Missing shingles, a leak over the bedroom, flashing. Today's repair is often the replacement a few years later.

  • Storm and insurance work

Homeowners after wind and ice · days

Calls come in waves after a windstorm or a winter of ice damming, often with an insurance claim attached.

  • Flat and commercial roofing

Property managers and building owners · months

Flat roofs, low-slope, small commercial buildings.

  • Metal roofing

    Homeowners · weeks to months

A considered buy at a higher price.

  • Eavestroughs, soffit, fascia and siding

    Homeowners · weeks

The add-on work that often comes with a new roof.

Also: skylights, new-construction roofing, and owner-operators running one crew.

What good roofer marketing actually does

Five jobs, done in order, all in your name.

  1. Be the roofer people find after the storm, and before the replacement

Your Google listing, filled with finished roofs and a review from every job, so you show on the map in every town you work. A page for each service in each town: replacement, repair, storm damage, flat roofs, metal, eavestroughs. Google ads split by job type, so replacement searches get their own budget and searches for "roofing jobs" or "DIY shingle repair" are blocked. Ads to the streets around the roofs you just finished, because the neighbours have been watching your crew all week. Where Google's Local Services Ads (the pay-per-call ads at the very top of the page, with the "Google Verified" check mark) pay off in your area, we set those up too.

What's involved: Roofing marketing agency, Google Maps and local SEO, Google Ads management, Facebook ads management

  2. A website that sells replacements and screens out price checks

A replacement page with honest price ranges and your financing options. Before-and-after photos of real roofs. Your licences, insurance, manufacturer certifications and warranties on every page we build, because that's how homeowners tell a real roofer from a storm chaser. A quote form that asks the age of the roof, what's wrong and how soon, with room for photos, so you know what you're driving to.

    What's involved: Website design

  3. Answer every call, even when you're up on a roof

You can't take a call with a bundle of shingles on your shoulder. Our AI receptionist answers in your company name, asks what's going on, takes the address and books the inspection. Active leaks are passed straight to whoever's on call. Missed calls get a text back right away, and quotes that haven't been signed get a polite follow-up, because a homeowner deciding on a roof takes weeks, not hours.

What's involved: AI receptionist, Missed-call text-back, One place for every call, text and form

  4. A review from every roof, and spring booked by winter

A text after every finished roof asking for a Google review, with a one-tap link and a nudge to add a photo. A winter offer to past customers and the streets you worked, so spring inspections are booked before the snow melts. Every message names your company and has an easy way to opt out.

What's involved: Review requests, Email and text follow-up

  5. See what each signed roof cost you

Every ad, listing and page has its own phone number, so you know which ones bring in work and which ones to cut. Each month you get one plain report: calls, inspections booked, roofs signed (from what you tell us), what each signed job cost, and what we'll change next month.

What's involved: One place for every call, text and form, a phone number for every ad, a plain monthly report

Fewer tire-kickers, more signed roofs

The price-check caller costs you more than the call. It costs you a drive, a climb and an evening writing a quote nobody signs. Here's how we cut them down:

  • Price ranges on the page. A homeowner who sees a realistic range before calling is a homeowner who's still interested after the call.
  • A quote form that asks. Roof age, the problem, photos, and how soon. The calculator crowd usually gives up at the photo.
  • Financing up front. For a lot of homeowners, the monthly payment is the real question. Answer it on the page.
  • Proof of who you are. Certifications, warranties, insurance and reviews from the same streets. That's what gets you picked over a lower price.

And the slow season: in the winter we send an offer to past customers and the neighbourhoods around your finished jobs. By the time the crews are back on roofs, the first weeks are already booked.

Roofing leads you own, not leads you rent

Buying job requests is renting. You pay for each name, race the other roofers to it, and the day you stop paying, the phone goes quiet.

The calls we bring in come from your own website, your own Google listing and your own ad account. Nobody else gets them, and we never resell them. Your reviews, your pages and your phone numbers keep working after you leave us. For where requests come from and how the costs compare, read our page on roofing leads. Other trades can read exclusive contractor leads.

  • Sell or share your calls. Not with the roofer across town, not with anyone.
  • Lock you in.Month to month, always.
  • Keep your stuff in our name.Your website, Google listing, ad account and phone numbers are yours from day one.
  • Mark up your ad spend. It goes straight to Google or Meta from your own account.

  • Advertise prices, warranties or storm claims you can't stand behind.

Is your roofing company a good fit?

We're not the cheapest option, and we're not for every roofer.

A good fit if you:

  • are properly insured and certified, and happy to show it
  • answer the phone, or have someone who does, and call people back the same day
  • want more replacement jobs, not just more repair calls
  • will tell us which quotes you signed, at least for the first few months
  • can give it a full season before you judge it

Probably not a fit if you:

  • can't answer the phone or call back the same day
  • are shopping for the cheapest invoice, or for homeowner names to buy by the dozen
  • can't invest for at least three months
  • want ads promising prices, warranties or insurance outcomes you can't back up

Not sure which side you're on?

Ask us. We'll tell you straight.

Roofing marketing questions

Something else on your mind? Call (647) 254-0850 and ask.

Start with your Google listing and reviews, because homeowners check them before they call anyone. Build a page for each service, with photos of real roofs. Run Google ads for replacement searches in the towns you cover. Answer every call. Ask every customer for a review, and work the streets around each finished roof. Give every ad its own phone number, so you know which of these brings in signed jobs.

Our plans are $1,500, $3,000 or $5,000 a month, plus your ad budget, which goes straight to Google or Meta with no markup. Which plan fits depends on how many crews you run and how many towns you cover. See what each plan includes.

Yes. We keep storm work and planned replacements apart, with their own ads, pages and budget, so a busy storm week doesn't eat the money meant for retail jobs. We won't run ads that promise insurance outcomes.

Never. They come from your own website, your own Google listing and your own ad account, and we don't sell them to anyone.

No long contract. We work month to month. Your website, Google listing, ad account, phone numbers and customer list are in your name from day one, and if you leave, they go with you.

Ads can bring calls within the first month. The map and Google search take longer, think months rather than weeks, but they keep paying off the longer they run. A roof is a slow decision, so give it a full season before you judge it.

If you're spending on ads and can't tell what they bring, or the phone isn't keeping up with the crews, it's worth it. Our page on hiring a roofing marketing agency lists the questions to ask any agency, us included.
