Marketing Agency Pricing With Every Number on the Page

Three plans: $1,500, $3,000 or $5,000 a month, plus your ad budget. The ad money goes from your own account straight to Google or Meta, and we don't take a cut of it. Month to month, and everything we build is yours.

Why we put our prices on the website

Marketing agency pricing is usually the one thing you can't find on an agency's website. Ask what they cost and you get "it depends", followed by a sales call. We'd rather you know before you call, so the call can be about your business instead of a guessing game about the bill.

So here it is. There are three plans, and the price of each is on this page. On top of that you pay your ad budget, which you control and pay to Google or Meta yourself. No percentage of your ad spend, and no contract that runs for a year.

The three plans

Every plan is a monthly fee for the work we do. Your ad budget sits on top of it and goes to Google or Meta, not to us.

Whatever the plan

  • Month to month. No long contract, and you can leave at the end of any month.
  • Your website, Google listing, ad account, phone numbers and customer list are in your name from day one.
  • No markup on your ad spend.
  • The calls we bring in are yours alone. They're never shared with other businesses and never resold.
  • We count results in booked work, not clicks.

Not sure which plan you'd land on?

That's the first thing we'll tell you on the call.

What decides which plan fits you

The prices don't change from one business to the next. What changes is which plan makes sense for you. Four things decide it:

  • How many towns you want calls from.

Your own town and the next one over is a different job from a whole region. Every town you want work from needs its own pages on your site and its own attention on the map.

  • How many kinds of work you sell.

A business with one main service needs fewer pages and fewer ads than one selling six different kinds of work to six different kinds of customer.

  • How much you want to spend on ads.

A bigger ad budget needs more watching, more testing and more pages for the ads to send people to. Spending more without that just wastes it faster.

  • How many calls you can handle.

There's no sense paying to bring in more work than you can answer, quote and do. If you can take on two more jobs a week, that's a different plan from someone who can take on ten.

On the call, we'll tell you which plan we'd put you on and why. If the smallest one is enough, that's the one we'll recommend.

Your ad budget: your account, your card, no markup

Your ad account is set up in your name, with your card on it. Google and Meta bill you directly, so you can log in any time and see every dollar that went out and where it went. We manage the ads; we never touch the money.

We take no markup on ad spend. Some agencies roll the ad budget into one monthly number and keep a slice of it, so you never really know how much reached Google. That isn't how we work.

How much should you spend on ads? It depends on your area, how much competition you have, and how many calls you want. We'll give you a starting number on the call and adjust it once we see what each call costs.

Month to month, and everything stays yours

There's no twelve-month contract to sign. We work month to month, which means we have to keep earning your business every month. If we stop, you leave, and you don't need a lawyer to do it.

When you go, everything goes with you: the website, the Google listing and its reviews, the ad account and its history, the phone numbers your customers already have, and your customer list. Nothing is held back while you "settle up", and nothing has to be rebuilt from scratch by the next person.

If your current agency holds any of those in its own name, we'll help you get them moved into yours as part of starting with us.

What a call has actually cost our clients

The plan price isn't the number to watch. The number to watch is what each new customer costs you, ads and fees together, and whether that number is coming down. Here's what some of our clients have paid per call or inquiry:

  • A furnace room installed by AW Mechanical Systems

AW Mechanical Systems, a heating and cooling company in Brampton, went from $142 per inquiry to $38.

  • A composite deck with black aluminum railings and steps down to an interlock patio, built by Backyard Pros

Backyard Pros, a deck and fence builder, got 250 calls and quote requests for decks and fences at about $36 each (CAD, March 2020 to August 2022).

  • A furnace installed by Newtown Energy

Newtown Energy, a heating and cooling company, got 81 calls and quote requests in one heating season at about $60 each (CAD, October 2023 to July 2024).

  • DoMyLaundry, a laundry pickup service in Toronto, got more than 5,000 inquiries over three years at $8.78 each.

Those are calls and inquiries, not signed jobs. How many turn into booked work depends on how you answer, quote and follow up, which is why we ask you which calls became work and report what each booked job cost.

Results depend on your market, your budget and how fast you answer the phone.

What owners set aside for marketing

Owners often ask us how much they should spend on marketing in total. We'd rather tell you what other owners tell each other than make up a rule of our own.

On contractor forums, a common rule of thumb is that 3 to 10% of revenue goes to advertising and marketing. An HVAC business coach puts it at 4 to 8%. That's owners' own rule of thumb, not ours, and it covers everything: your ad budget, your agency, your website, all of it.

To put that in dollars: a business doing a million dollars a year would, by that rule, spend somewhere between $30,000 and $100,000 a year on marketing, or roughly $2,500 to $8,300 a month, ads included.

A percentage is a starting point, not a target. The better test is the one in the section above: what each booked job costs you, and whether it's going down.

Who we're not a fit for

We're not the cheapest option, and we're not for everyone. You'll probably be happier somewhere else if you:

  • can't answer the phone or call people back the same day
  • want results without being involved in the first three months
  • are shopping for the lowest invoice, or for names to buy by the dozen
  • can't commit to at least three months before judging it
  • want us to make claims your business can't back up

Not sure which side you're on?

Ask us. We'll tell you straight.

Pricing questions

No. The plan price is our fee. Your ad budget is separate, and you pay it to Google or Meta from your own account. That way you see exactly what was spent, and we can't quietly keep a share of it.

No long contract. We work month to month, so you can leave at the end of any month and take everything with you.

Yes. Because it's month to month, you can move up or down a plan as your business changes, for example ahead of your busy season.

No. The three prices are the same for everyone. What differs is which plan fits, and that comes down to how many towns you cover, how many kinds of work you sell and how many calls you can take.

Paying per job request looks cheaper until you count how many of those names were sold to three or four other businesses at the same time. With us, the calls come from your own website, Google listing and ads. They're yours alone, and when you stop paying us, the website and listing keep working for you. To see what we actually do for the fee, read How we get you more calls and How we work.
