Ottawa Firefighters Community Foundation

Welcome to the Ottawa Firefighters Community Foundation. Established in September 2002 by Retired Ottawa Fire Inspector Dawson McVeetors and a dedicated group of volunteers, our foundation began with a heartfelt remembrance ceremony for New York’s fallen firefighters, held one year after the tragic events of 9/11. This annual memorial, hosted on the grounds of Ottawa City Hall, continues to honor and remember the bravery of those who have served and sacrificed in the line of duty.
