Ben & Eby

I’m so glad you asked. My name is Ben Eby, and I was born with a unique condition, called pectus excavatum, essentially my breastbone is sunken into my chest. That set me apart, it made me different. I didn’t look like other kids. In spite of being athletic, I would avoid swimming, I would avoid letting anyone see me change in the locker room. This brought on depression so severe that I attempted to take my own life.
